Hokitika
After Karamea, we rode down the west coast. New Zealand's favorite
road hazard is the one lane bridge. If the small arrow is pointing
the way you're going, you have to yield to any oncoming traffic, letting
them cross the bridge first. If you get the big arrow, oncoming traffic
has to yield and let you cross first. If you're on a motorcycle,
you hope they see you!
On the way to Hokitika, we stopped at the famous Pancake Rocks.
We stayed that night in Kapitea Lodge, near Hokitika. It is a
beautiful place, with a fantastic view. Here's the view from our
room:
Time for a classic honeymoon photo!
