As we mentioned before, there are great views from the palace. And nice windows, too.
You can see out to the cruise ship docks from here.
The kids thought this bedroom was very nice - hard to argue. We think this was in the area reserved for circumcisions of princes.
There was not a lot of stained glass, compared to other modes of decoration, but what there was was beautiful.
In several places there were skylights like this, with differently-shaped small holes through to the sky. It's a nice effect.
Beautiful tile covers many of the exterior walls as well as the interior.
At every turn, there's another amazing sight.
Down the outside wall, but still in the palace grounds, there are a couple of restaurants. One is indoors, and that's where the restrooms are so we got to look around inside. One notable feature is this row of pickled food.
We then went back outside and got a table at the sit-down restaurant (there's also a buffet style service). We were immediately visited by one of the restaurant cats, which delighted Cielo.
The waiter was not as happy about it.
Then we poked around a little more before taking our leave. Another great ceiling.
And another great view.
Cielo noticed that these sidewalk stones looked kind of like a piano.
Despite the long day of touring, Eero still had a lot of energy left. This is just one of many of these runs he did.
