After the monastery, it was time to drive to the next parador, at Sigüenza. Once again the GPS had some fun with us, but eventually we got on track and were on our way, where we found this overlook
Sigüenza's parador was even more like a classic castle than the one at Tortosa. The original castle dates back to the 5th century, and the current building to the 12th as opposed to Parador Tortosa's 10th century building.
The window in our room seemed fortified.
The kids enjoyed roaming around the courtyard area.
And they thought this suit of armor was cool.
While roaming the upper floors, we found a balcony overlooking the castle's chapel.
Here's our little rental car. The parking lot was pretty slanty, but fortunately the parking brake held overnight.
Sigüenza is known for its food - the restaurant highlights authentic local dishes. More on this on the Spanish Dining page.
