Back in 1992, Vernon and Erin went out to Long Island to help Nick make his senior thesis movie, Raving Paranoia. These are some production stills.
Here's Erin setting up a light stand for the big "You can't buy Coke with Love" scene.
Erin was playing a graduate student studying the works of a (terrible) 19th century poet. Here she is working on transcribing some of the poetry she needed to read in a scene.
The other characters included an FBI agent who was surveiling Erin's character - played by (I think?) Rob, here in the front left. He has a personal crisis that leads him to fall in briefly with a group of homeless conspiracy theorists. Vernon is the one in the back right, looking up.
We rented the cheapest possible Betamax camera from a place in Manhattan. It was a bit of false economy, as the tape deck it was connected to had numerous technical issues. Here's Nick getting ready to shoot a scene.
And just about to call "ACTION!"
Coca Cola was one of the commonly-discussed things in the script. Here's Nick and his nephew, who played a young mobster (?), discussing Coke's great and terrible powers.
